Marin General Hospital hosts, sponsors and facilitates free support groups in an effort to optimize the health and healing of patients, family members and other caregivers of those with cancer. During the COVID-19 pandemic support groups are being facilitated for your safety through various virtual formats. Calendar Updates
Suite 140 will remain closed to the public. Appointments will be scheduled over the phone. Patients can call the main number 415-925-7620 to schedule an appointment.
Upon checking in, patients will receive a temperature check, complete a COVID screening form and reconcile payment. If the patient does not have one, a surgical mask will be issued at the time of appointment.
Both patient and practitioner are masked at all times during the massage.

Introductory Group Seminar
Jin Shin Jyutsu facilitates the body’s profound healing capacity by balancing energy. Jin Shin Jyutsu treatments support the body, mind, and spirit through non-invasive, gentle touch that is administered while the individual is fully clothed. While similar to acupuncture and acupressure, Jin Shin Jyutsu does not use needles, pressure, or rubbing.

Strength After Breast Cancer
Enhance your healing and recovery through this structured, evidence-based 4-week exercise rehabilitation program.
Strength ABC was founded by Kathryn H. Schmitz, PhD, MPH, and is based on the PAL Trial (Physical Activity and Lymphedema). This study showed the effectiveness of progressive weightlifting for breast cancer survivors who were living with lymphedema or at risk for lymphedema.
What do sessions include?
- An initial screening by a physical therapist, as well as a follow up appointment at the end of the program to measure individual progress.
- Rehabilitation sessions led by Sunflower Wellness Exercise Counselors that are geared towards increasing motivation, promoting behavior and healthy lifestyle change.
- Education on weight training routines that help prevent lymphedema and increase range of motion.
- The program includes a free resistance band and 2-3 lb. dumbbells.
