Francine Halberg, MD

Dr. Halberg joined MCC because it provides university-level treatment in a caring environment. Consulting closely with her medical oncology colleagues and other subspecialists allows her to deliver the best, most complete care for her patients, and provide them with the best chance for a cure.

Prior to MCC, Dr. Halberg was on the faculty of Stanford University and the University of California San Francisco. A renowned expert on breast cancer, she has authored more than 35 papers. Dr. Halberg has also served on numerous boards of directors; chaired many task forces and committees; and served on panels for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute of Health and the California Breast Cancer Research Panel.

Recognized as one of the top doctors in the country by Newsweek, Good Housekeeping, Redbook and Ladies Home Journal, as well as San Francisco magazine, Dr. Halberg is passionate about providing her patients with the most accurate, up-to-date information to best guide their care. She also dedicates time to working with advocacy and governmental organizations to improve breast cancer public policy.
