Bobbie Head, MD, PhD

Bobbie_Head

Dr. Head joined MCC in 1987. She is actively engaged in research, having been involved in over 100 clinical trials. Over the years, she has delighted in the advancement of new treatments that allow her to help her patients lead full, happy lives.

As the medical director of Hospice of Marin for over a decade, she understands the importance of compassion. She believes her personal experience losing a loved one to cancer influences her work as much as her professional training.

Dr. Head’s work isn’t limited to the office. In 2013, she and Dr. Lucas trekked in Nepal, raising $40,000 for breast cancer research. Dr. Head repeated the fundraising adventure again in 2016 with her daughter.

Born in Sweden and raised in Chicago, Dr. Head now calls Marin County home. If she’s not horseback riding on the weekends, she’s most likely skiing, jogging or hiking. What she loves most of all is spending time with her husband and daughter.
